Storytime: I don’t care about your story!

‘I don’t care about your story, unless your story includes my story’, this is true for stories as well as marketing and advertising and pitching your business. If your audience cannot connect with your story, they will never be interested or remember, or care.
Your story needs to connect with your audience through experiential hooks that link your story to your audience with some common factors. This will allow your audience to embed themselves into your story as one of the characters and so become a part of what you are saying.
Learning to do this will make your stories and marketing and pitching far better.
