You Can Select Your Brain Frequency

By Bruce Wade

Your brain runs at a measurable electrical frequency. Right now, in this moment, as you read these words, your brain is generating electrical activity that can be recorded, mapped, and changed.

And that frequency is determining your experience of this exact moment.

There are seven primary brainwave states. Delta is deep, unconscious sleep, where the body heals. Theta is the dreamy, creative state between sleeping and waking. Alpha is relaxed wakefulness calm, receptive, the bridge between your conscious and subconscious mind. Low Beta is focused attention without stress. Beta is normal active waking consciousness. High Beta is the stress state. And Gamma is peak performance: rapid insight, flow, full creative capacity.

Here is the critical insight most people miss. Your brain state is not fixed. It is not a product of your circumstances. It is trainable.

The physical warm-up before a presentation. The five-minute walk before a difficult conversation. The breathing exercise before a big decision. These are not cliches. They are neurological interventions.

Most people spend a lot of their working week in High Beta without ever realising it. They wonder why their best ideas only come in the shower, on a walk, or just before sleep. Those are Alpha and Theta moments. The brain, momentarily free of stress, does what it was designed to do.

The goal is not to live in Alpha permanently. The goal is to choose the right frequency for the task at hand.

This week we will unpack some the science around this on the I Think Therefore I Feel webinar. Book your seat today. https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/JrGeqCkjQlKF-8xYd41zmw
