Brain Gym is like a real gym, but better
By Bruce Wade
They say that the hardest part of going to the gym is putting on your running shoes. But is that the main reason? No, not really. It is the change of state that we fight against. Like getting out of bed on a cold morning or undressing to get into the shower, all uncomfortable, all a change of state.
But what if we could learn to embrace changes and make it something to look forward to, something exciting, no matter the discomfort of the change? Brain Gym is that tool.
Yes, just like taking your body to the treadmill, you can take your brain to the gym. But no shoes required, you don’t even have to get off the couch. Brain Gym is a tool or a set of exercises that will help your brain get fit, healthy and ready to take on the toughest of challenges.
The more you get to use your brain in new ways, the better it is to be used in new ways. Neuroplasticity is the process of developing new neural pathways that form new thoughts, new actions and new habits. Like learning to drive. We struggle to coordinate the feet and hands and eyes all at the same time, but after a few lessons and a bunch of time on the road, it becomes second nature.
Imagine if you could do cool stuff with your brain, like read fast, read upside down, see patterns in shapes that others don’t and be the first to solve complex issues. This is possible with just a little effort, and when you start to see the results, it becomes contagious to do more and get better.
The road to brain fitness is an exciting one, and I would love to invite you to take that first step and get your hands on a copy of my Brain Gym book. https://brucewade.co.za/brain-gym/
